Insurers considering issuance of new policy forms and provisions have looked to BCS&S lawyers for decades to advise them regarding issuance of new products and coverage issues that might arise with respect to new products. Our expertise in this specialized area grew out of the experience gained by BCS&S lawyers who, beginning in the 1980s, have been lead counsel in policy “drafting history” disputes concerning underwriting intent for the 1966/1971/1973/1985 CGL policies promulgated by Insurance Services Office, and its predecessors. We provide underwriting advice to insurers and reinsurers on a broad range of historical and current policy drafting issues.
